Who can benefit from therapy?
Anyone can benefit from therapy. Receiving counseling from an experienced therapist can help improve self-perseveration skills, emotional awareness, processing and coping skills, reduce anxiety, improve sleep and life skills. Therapy can help improve emotional health and functioning when the individual is motivated and consistent.
What can I expect from therapy?
Counseling starts with electronic documents (informed consents), an intake assessment then ongoing therapy sessions. Based off medical necessity and emotional needs, sessions are scheduled either weekly or bi-weekly. Individuals can expect to be treated with respect and confidentiality. Steph will follow the lead of the individual and their needs. Steph uses HIPAA compliant electronic heath record system and telehealth platforms and is always open to feedback.
Is Steph the right fit for me?
Everyone has different needs and finding the right counselor can take time. Steph takes an individualized approach, and mixes CBT techniques & holistic approaches to better support nervous system responses. Please note Steph’s areas of trained focus including adults with anxiety/ stress and a specialty with infertility and Postpartum. Steph is trained and certified to support those in the perinatal period.
What are the benefits of private pay?
Using health insurance does not always guarantee counseling coverage. Health insurance company benefits can limit sessions frequency and duration, therapy modalities used & certain mental health diagnoses. A person may also desire to separate their mental health services from their health insurance company.
Please note Private Pay rates are as followed & due at time of service:
$180 for intake/ assessments, $150 for 1 hour session, $130 for 45 min session.
